Residency Programs
Welcome to West Anaheim Medical Center! The West Anaheim Medical Center residency program is part of the larger Prime West Consortium sponsoring institution.
The Internal Medicine Residency Program of West Anaheim Medical Center (WAMC) educates physicians by incorporating a well-rounded education in all areas of Internal Medicine and providing awareness and experience in healthcare delivery, research, education, and health administration. Resident physicians are exposed to all subspecialties of Internal Medicine, both hospital-based and ambulatory care, encompassing the diverse patient population of the WAMC great community area.
Prime West Consortium
We have a few other programs that are in the works and are excited about our growing consortium of programs. We currently have regularly scheduled shared didactic sessions between several of the programs to aid us in delivering high quality educational experiences across the programs.
Prime West is an academic consortium consisting of the residencies within Prime Healthcare Hospitals in California. The goal for each hospital to retain its community characteristics while the consortium provides the support of a larger academic setting. The Prime West Consortium sponsors Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Dermatology programs across multiple sites.
